Piper says goodbye...So I've been running around attempting to get everything done and squared away with before the trip to Uganda. We leave on Tuesday, and I must confess this, this trip will be my first time out of the country. How sad that I have never left the US of A (except for Canada, which refused to stamp my passport. REFUSED.) but I couldn't think of a better trip to be my first.
On top of the trip, I've been constantly shooting, which is great. I've been working with some extremely talented people on some shoots, however the task of editing is slightly overwhelming at this point.
An interesting tale; the studio I was shooting at happened to be also playing role as a holding area for a tv show being filmed across the street. The sight of 250 background players scuttling around and being horded like cattle was mind-boggling within itself. It was so interesting to see the hierarchy system of film productions; signs posted all over, "Crew Only!" and "No Sitting!". It felt more like segregated south then someone's actual job. No wonder celebrity actors loose their minds and think they're totally awesome. This is why I like still photo.
